Time to raise a glass or two to the team famed for keeping the rest of us in order ...
Queen of the accounts at Apple Print & Creative is its longest serving member of staff: Andreen Nightingale. She started working for Apple Print’s founder, John Proudfoot, in 1986, the year the business began. What started out as a temporary book-keeping job for two hours a week has, 30 years on, become a full-time job as Management Accountant. She truly has her finger on the pulse of the finances but what she loves most of all about coming to work is the small, friendly team – a sentiment echoed by her colleagues Jean Bartholomew and Rene Kirk.
Office Manager Jean Bartholomew is yet another long-standing member of the team. She started in 1998 in the Print Room as a finisher and was given the opportunity to work in various roles before finding her niche as Office Manager, responsible for every admin job going and always willing to turn her hand to whatever needs doing. She is the first line of communication at Apple Print & Creative so is a well-known, friendly voice on the telephone to clients.
As Apple Print & Creative turns 30, so Rene Kirk turns a remarkable 80 – and has no plans to retire yet! Unerringly enthusiastic and loyal, she has been involved with the business from the earliest days and remains a valued Office Administrator whose organised systems are second to none.
Without exception, all the staff at Apple Print & Creative are glad to be working with forward-thinking management who give them responsibility for their own jobs. As Andrew Watts says, ‘Each member of the team plays a vital role in the success of Apple Print & Creative. I’m proud that each and every one of them puts clients first and takes responsibility for the continued success of the business.’
It’s time to celebrate: three cheers for our first 30 years!
